This plot presents the Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF) of peer departure times. It shows the percentage of the peers online at a random point in time (t=0) that go offline within a given time after t=0, in steps of 15 minutes up to 24 hours.
t=0
Global Churn includes all peers. The other lines show the four agent types with the most sessions. The tooltip shows the number of sessions (samples) of each line. We compute the lines from the online sessions that our Nebula crawler measured in about one week before the selected date. A long session is more likely to include t=0, so each session counts with its length, and we assume that t=0 is in the middle of the session. Select a date to show an earlier day.
Note that the lines do not reach 100% at 24 hours: the remaining peers stay online for more than 24 hours after t=0.
