This plot shows the distribution of agent versions by quality adjust power (QAP) and raw bytes power (RBP).

The data is powered by Starboard, Nebula, and lily and sourced as follows:

First, we get all storage provider infos from `lily` which give us a mapping of `miner_id` to `peer_id` and a list of Multiaddresses. Then we go ahead and try to connect to all these peers and perform an identify exchange to learn the agent versions. After that's done, we fill the missing peers with our DHT and GossipSub crawl information so that we can resolve additional peer IDs to their agent versions. Then, we query Starboard to get a mapping from `miner_id` to the actual power values which we then also join together with the previous data. Finally, we group everything by agent version and sum up all the power values to arrive at the final graph.

Storage Providers By City

This graph shows the geographical distribution of all unique storage providers (identified by their miner ID) with a non-zero raw byte power. We get a list of storage providers with their network addresses from `lily` which we then use to geolocate them. Then we reach out to spacescope.io to get a list of all storage providers and their raw byte power that they contribute to the network. We combine both datasets to show render the graph.

Note: The total number of storage providers in this graph may differ from the total number of peers that is shown in other graphs. This is because 1) here we show unique miner IDs as opposed to peer IDs, and 2) in other graphs we only show peers that we were able to successfully connect to; this is is not guaranteed to be the case for all storage providers.

Client Diversity Trend

Shows the evolution of different user agent types (client software) participating in the network, over time.

Each agent type represents a different implementation and and indicates its relative prevalence within the network for the given reporting period. This chart helps track software diversity, adoption of new client versions, and overall network health, in terms of active nodes in the network.

The `Unknown` category represents nodes where the agent version could not be retrieved through the libp2p identify protocol. This situation can occur due to various reasons, such as the node terminating the connection before completing the full protocol negotiation.
